ARCELF

Kyoto jewelry woven from silk, gold, and four centuries of craft.

Introduction

The world is made of small fragments.

The hands of artisans, the landscapes of Japan, inherited materials and memories— ARCELF is a jewelry brand that re-edits these fragments of Japanese beauty into contemporary forms.

Every collection begins with an encounter with a craft.

We travel across Japan, visiting workshops and meeting artisans. There, we discover not only materials and techniques, but also the cultures, landscapes, and philosophies that live within each place. From these encounters, we create jewelry that carries these stories into the present.

Our purpose is not simply to preserve craft, but to create a cycle in which it continues to be chosen, worn, and valued for generations to come.

That is the future ARCELF hopes to help build.

Each time you wear a piece, it reconnects you with landscapes and moments held in memory. Semi-precious stones hand-polished by Japanese artisans, the techniques of Nishijin weaving, rare urushi lacquer, ceramics, and metals marked by the passage of time.

We give new life to these fragments of beauty.

Yukari Fujii

Yukari Fujii

Born and raised in Kyoto, she grew up surrounded by Japanese textiles and craftsmanship, influenced by her mother, a textile designer, and relatives involved in the kimono industry.

After working in the fashion industry, she became an editor and writer, traveling across Japan to document traditional crafts and meet artisans. Witnessing both the beauty of these traditions and the challenges they face today inspired her to found ARCELF.

Through collaborations with craftspeople across Japan, she reinterprets inherited materials, techniques, and cultural stories into contemporary jewelry, creating a bridge between Japanese craftsmanship and the world.

Current collection

TSUZURE - Loose EndSeason 1

The upcoming season pairs oxidized silver with raw silk left unbleached, a rougher texture inspired by the undyed obi linings historically hidden from view.

ORI — Gold

¥65,000RRP ¥156,875×2.41

The ORI Ring draws from a defining characteristic of tsumekaki hon-tsuzure weaving in Nishijin, where the same surface appears on both front and back. Four distinct finishes spiral together, creating a subtle sense of depth as they catch the light. The interior, typically left flat, is finished in the same way as the exterior—recreating this structure in the form of a ring. Each piece is carefully crafted by Japanese artisans in Kofu. Refined finishing extends even to the unseen areas, supporting the ring’s overall balance and beauty. Beauty, from every side—seen and unseen. Brought into everyday form.

TSUZURE — Gold

¥191,466RRP ¥243,684×1.27

The TSUZURE Ring draws from the layered spools of thread in Nishijin weaving ateliers and the subtle gradients of the finished textiles. A series of bars flow together, each finished differently, creating a rhythm where light and stillness alternate. Diamonds set within the narrow gaps catch the light softly, introducing moments of quiet space within the composition. Each piece is carefully crafted by Japanese artisans in Kofu. Refined finishing extends even to the unseen areas, supporting the ring’s overall sense of balance and beauty. Irregular layers, forming a rhythm. That beauty, at your fingertips.

ORI — Spiral

¥162,443RRP ¥206,745×1.27

Inspired by the way silk threads gather and take form in a spiral within Nishijin weaving ateliers, this ring captures the movement of making itself. The arm, gradually widening from 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm, expresses the layered presence of thread and textile in sculptural form—an embodiment of time and accumulation. A matte hairline finish echoes the delicate motion unique to silk. Eighteen diamonds set along the top recall the continuous glimmer of light held within the threads, while a marquise-cut diamond, subtly revealed between the fingers, adds a quiet accent. Designed to integrate seamlessly into everyday wear, while quietly defining its own presence.

TSUZURE — Bloom

¥122,000RRP ¥244,000×2

In a Nishijin weaving atelier, bundles of silk thread rest beside the artisan. Their soft volume carried the form of a flower—this ring takes shape from that memory. Each of the five petals is carefully constructed by hand, with surface finishes that echo the delicate flow of silk. A gradient from gold to silver and three diamonds set at the center add a quiet, luminous presence. Created through the vision of master craftsman Katsuhiko Sakamoto and the refined handwork of artisans in Kofu, this piece embodies the beauty born where two disciplines meet—at your fingertips.
